Zig Zag provides a place of healing, support and social action for young women aged 12-25 years. In particular, Zig Zag provides services to young women in the Brisbane area who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and young women who are survivors of sexual violence. Services include counselling and support to young women aged 12 to 25 years who have experienced sexual assault and medium term supported accommodation and housing support to young women aged 16-25 years who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
Phoenix House has provided a range of counselling and support services since 1995 for people living in the Bundaberg region. We specialise in providing counselling support to people of all ages impacted by sexual violence, rape or historic sexual abuse. We also provide general counselling and support services to people affected by a range of traumatic life events.
The Gold Coast Sexual Health Service provides testing and treatment for sexually transmissible infections (STIs) and HIV management including PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis).
We are a free confidential walk-in and appointment-based service with locations in central and southern Gold Coast.

North Queensland Combined Women’s Services (NQCWS), known as The Women’s Centre is a women only space. The Women’s Centre exists to support and empower women in Townsville and surrounding regions. Women may access the centre for different reasons; domestic and family violence, sexual assault, women’s health, homelessness, financial difficulties, or to participate in groups and other centre events. The homelessness service aims to provide support for women over 18 to transition out of homelessness into housing, or to provide support to prevent homelessness.
Carinity Communities – Illoura, provides free counselling for families and their children within the community of Beaudesert and surrounds. The focus of our counselling service is to strengthen vulnerable families by offering counselling and support during difficult times, and by providing support networks for the community. The family friendly centre also offers a community-inclusive approach to people’s wellbeing by running activities such as arts and craft classes, parenting courses, family fun days, ladies’ time-out nights and community barbecues.
TSAS provides no cost specialist sexual assault counselling to all children, young people, and non-offending women and men before during and/or after a sexual harm event or concern. TSAS looks after the TRC area, the Mareeba Shire, the Etheridge Shire and the Croydon Shire. With a strong focus on prevention, we offer Protective Behaviours Education to all children and families irrespective of whether something has happened or not. We support with police and court involvement, victim compensation, referrals to other services and advocacy for safer living and social conditions.
Sunshine Cooloola Services Against Sexual Violence Inc. (S.C.S.A.S.V.Inc.) is more commonly known as Laurel House in Maroochydore and Laurel Place in Gympie and Murgon. The service provides information, counselling and support for women, children and young people (including males up to 18 years old) who have experienced recent or past sexual assault. The service also provides culturally appropriate support to indigenous families affected by sexual violence.
